Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, this modest two-star hotel features air-conditioned rooms that include a minibar and flat-screen TV, ensuring a cozy stay after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for business travelers, with a bus stop just a short walk away that connects to Modena's city center and railway station, making it convenient to navigate without a car. What I truly enjoyed was the garden area that offered a peaceful oasis, perfect for reflecting on the beautiful landscapes I cherish in my home country of Kenya. The staff were incredibly friendly-Cecilia and her team went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. While the breakfast was a tad lacking in variety for my taste, the hotel's inviting bar and the chance to enjoy a refreshing drink made up for it. Plus, with free Wi-Fi and the option to use bicycles, I could stay connected and explore the area at my own pace. Hotel Astor may be simple, but it truly embodies the spirit of genuine hospitality I always hope to find in my travels, making it a worthwhile choice for anyone venturing to Modena.
